Our Art Central location was opened in May 2008 in the heart of downtown Calgary. The building is alive with artists, galleries and boutique shops, and with the hustle of people passing through the +15 walkways.
We put a lot of thought into the design of this cafe. Our chairs are a mid-century design classic, the Eames molded chair, first presented at the Museum of Modern Art in 1948. Our sofas are covered in Maharam fabric reminiscent of a fine men's pinstripe suit. Other details include bright red Kartell FL/Y lamps throughout, walnut hardwood flooring and hand block printed Farrow & Ball 19th century wallpaper. Our wall to wall windows offer breathtaking 180° views of the Calgary Tower and the Bow progress.
